Introduction:
Resources available from the CSRC Data Portal are listed below.
Use the links to the left to jump to your section of interest.
These categories contain the information needed for your
California GPS projects.
Note 1: many of these require a
four character site code or NGS PID to view or obtain information.
Note 2: links will open in
a new or different browser window
|
RINEX Data:

Obtain GPS
RINEX observation files for
sites of interest
| |
-
Data Browser
Select the sites/days for which RINEX files are required
| |
|
Site Metadata:

View information about GPS sites, such as antenna heights and equipment types
| |
-
Site Information Manager (SIM)
Retrieve any descriptive information available for any site - this includes antenna/receiver types, site images, monument information, etc. Users may also search for GPS sites via a variety of text-based methods.
-
Receiver/Antenna Codes
  The official
IGS
listing of antenna and receiver model names
and their corresponding codes. These codes are used in the
site logs for all sites.
-
Antenna Dimension Diagrams
Diagrams for several common models, showing the
distance from the antenna reference point (ARP) to various points
on the antenna.
-
NGS Antenna Calibration Page
  These represent the official
NGS set of mean
offsets and elevation-dependent phase center variations
for several antenna models.

|
Coordinates:

Cartesian and geodetic coordinates valid for
available reference epochs.
Coordinates reflect the position
of the monument/geodetic reference point (GRP).

|
Other resources:
-
SECTOR
Scripps Epoch Coordinate Tool and Online Resource:
calculates coordinates for the site(s) of interest, for the
year/day (epoch) given
-
SCOUT
The Scripps COordinate Update Tool provides
accurate coordinates, given an input
RINEX file
| |
|
Velocities:

Site velocities derived from SOPAC's
refined model

SECTOR
Scripps Epoch Coordinate Tool and Online Resource:
calculates coordinates for the site(s) of interest, for the
year/day (epoch) given, using SOPAC/CSRC site velocities
| |
|
Precise Orbits:

GPS satellite orbit files in various formats.
| |
|
| |
|
Time Series:

Site time series derived from SOPAC's
refined model
| |

-
Winzip
All RINEX files on the SOPAC data archive are
unix-compressed (.Z) to maximize storage. Winzip will uncompress
these files under Windows-based operating systems.
-
Hatanaka Uncompress
Most RINEX files on the SOPAC data archive are also
Hatanaka-compressed (.YYd, where YY is year). Use the crx2rnx
utility described at this link to convert them to RINEX format.
-
teqc
This UNAVCO utility
performs RINEX file translation, quality-checking, and other
useful functions.
-
GPS Calendar
This calendar will help you convert a typical
calendar day to either the day of year or GPS week number.
-
Convert Date
A tool to convert between several different date
formats.
