California Spatial Reference Center
Contra Costa County Survey
The Contra Costa County project was partly the re-observation of a county network originally observed in 1991 by Sunrise Geodetic. The purpose of the project was to update the county network, replace lost stations and add additional stations to complete a more dense network in the county. The project was observed to NGS Height Modernization guidelines. There is the possibility of some subsidence in the extreme eastern portion of the project but this was not a major criterion for the project (as in the Yolo County project). Observers represented several State and County agencies.

The eastern portion of the project was tied into the western portion of the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta project.
